Friday Feels: Florida for Thanksgiving

Friday Feels: Thanksgiving in Florida

Rather than picking to meet up in one of our midwest states (Missouri, Illinois or Kentucky), my family opted to have Thanksgiving in Florida instead. With everyone living in separate states, time together is so special.   Not to mention, time together in Florida is even better!

We had the best time soaking up the sun, overindulging in seafood and exploring the ins and outs of Naples, FL.

My sister’s last day in Florida, we had an incredible brunch at Another Broken Egg Cafe.  Lobster Benedict, crab cake & fried green tomatoes, mimosas and even complimentary beignets.

We spent many of our afternoons out by the pool. I swear John was like a elementary school boy with his patience for sun bathing. Note to self, bring a football or some kind of pool activity to keep him occupied while I’m trying to lay out!

Along with celebrating Thanksgiving, it was also my parent’s 30th wedding anniversary! Their wedding anniversary is on November 26th, which will be just one month after ours after next year.  Celebrating their 30th anniversary made me even more excited to get married. Mom and dad, thanks for being amazing parents and for showing me an example of marriage and hard work. Oh, and for always making each other laugh.

Most of the trip, I only used my phone for photos which consisted of a lot of selfies. All in all, I didn’t document as much as I would have liked but then again I made so many incredible memories that I’m okay with it. I am so grateful for my family and already can’t wait for us to be together again over Christmas!
