Peabody Opera House Wedding, Josh & Taryn, St. Louis MO

Her bridesmaids told her to close her eyes. She sat in anticipation as they all watched, phones and video ready. Her maid of honor, Sarah, entered the room holding the sweetest gift from Taryn’s soon-to-be husband. A puppy. To be specific, a dapple dachshund puppy who two weeks prior to the wedding Josh told Taryn they couldn’t get. Taryn was so in love with the little one that she even named him that day. She decided that Bowen would have been his name.

Flash back to the morning of Taryn’s wedding when she received the ultimate surprise. It wasn’t long after she closed her eyes to receive Josh’s gift that she felt little puppy paws on her lap. She instantly started crying when she opened her eyes and exclaimed, “it’s Bowen!” to everyone around her. Can you say groom goals?! I mean seriously, he surprise her with a puppy!

You would think that the puppy surprise would have been the highlight of the day but that was only one of them. Everything about Josh and Taryn’s wedding was perfect. Their wedding ceremony took place at The Jewel Box in Forest Park. As part of their ceremony, they exchanged personal vows. With Josh being an extremely loyal Cubs fan, it was adorable that he mentioned that their wedding day was now the best day of his life even above the Cubs winning the World Series.

Josh and Taryn’s wedding reception was held at the Peabody Opera House. The way the lights were strung across the ceiling paired with the natural beauty of the historic building was stunning. Not to mention, Josh and Taryn’s wedding cake was the most perfect thing I have ever seen. Seriously… it was incredible!

From the memorable speeches to the Feudin’ Hillbilly’s getting everyone on the dance floor, this wedding reception was to the nines. All of the guests had an incredible time celebrating the newlyweds and it was obvious that their wedding hashtag, #MeanttobeMenacher stood true!

Josh and Taryn, you two are such a beautiful couple. Your wedding day was perfect and will probably be one of my favorites for years to come. Thank you for letting me be a part of it. Hope you’re having an incredible time in Hawaii!
