Love much but laugh more. Be each other’s best friend. Find joy in something together every single day. Remember that the little moments sometimes mean the most.
The bride’s father closed his speech out with those words.
After spending the day with Matthew and Kelly, it is clear to me that they already ‘love much and laugh more’. Not only with each other but with all of their family and friends. One of Kelly’s maids of honor emphasized this when she referred to Kelly being the glue to their college friend group. Likewise, Matthew’s best man discussed what an amazing friend Matthew is. It gave me chills when he noted that while he was the ‘best man’, Kelly was definitely Matthew’s ‘best friend’.
Prior to their wedding ceremony, we spent the day on a Chicago trolley taking photos at all of the ‘signature’ spots. The Wrigley Building, Kinzie Street Bridge and the Chicago Theatre sign to name a few. Although Matthew and Kelly live in Boston, Chicago will always hold a special place in Kelly’s heart.
Matthew and Kelly, thank you for allowing me to photograph your wedding day. I must say I am still a little bittersweet that Guiness wasn’t able to be a part of the day (their French bulldog). However, I know he will be in many family photos to come.
Here are a collection of my family photos from your day. Enjoy them and above all, happy first day at husband and wife!
