The Highland Loft Wedding, James & Stephanie, Elgin IL
Like all engaged couples in the last year, James and Stephanie have faced many obstacles when planning their 2021 wedding. Unfortunately, due to Covid their plans for a big wedding were pushed to 2022. However, James and Stephanie knew that they didn’t want to wait that long to be officially husband and wife. Stephanie’s brother Nick said it best when saying a few congratulatory words to the newly married couple at their intimate wedding this past weekend.
“I’m sure this day wasn’t quite what you expected when you originally envisioned your wedding day – but sometimes in life, things don’t always go according to plan, and all you can do is roll with the punches and try your hardest to make the best out of every situation.”
Nick then went on to relate making the best out of every situation to several funny things in James and Stephanie’s life together. For example, James becoming a cat dad before the age of 30 and Stephanie’s father sharing the same name with his new son-in-law.
While he had everyone laughing in the middle, Nick brought tears to many eyes in the room with his closing.
“In the end, the harsh reality is that there will always be moments in your future that aren’t going to go as planned. But at the end of the day, that won’t matter, because you’ll have one another to help get you through those moments. And James, I couldn’t ask for a better man to roll with the punches, to be there for my sister when things don’t go as planned, and to love her every step of the way.”
James and Stephanie, thank you for allowing me to document such an exciting day in your relationship. I cannot wait to spend your first anniversary with you and your friends/family celebrating in 2022!
