Andrew & Lauren are such a down to earth sweet couple. I loved the quiet, nervousness Lauren had throughout the morning of her wedding day up until she saw Andrew. When Lauren walked down the stairway of the country home at Engelbrecht Farm and saw Andrew, all of her nerves went away. Lauren instantly started grinning from ear to ear and was no longer worried or nervous but just wanted to talk to and touch Andrew. Andrew and Lauren’s wedding day was on an extremely hot day at the end of July but their the two of them, their bridal party and their family members were all so cooperative when it came to photos. We moved fast and made sure they had plenty of water and time in the air conditioning to keep cool. Luckily, the venue supplied several different areas that were perfect for pictures. I was obsessed with the big white barn and the antique car. The bridal party and I had a blast trying to figure out different ways to incorporate the hay wagon and the other photo op spots around us. Throughout the entire time we took photos whether it was with family, bridal party or just Andrew and Lauren, I caught Andrew just caught up admiring his wife. I love when I am directing a couple and I realize I never have to say “now turn and look at each other” because they have been doing it the entire time.
The ceremony was held outside of the barn and was complete with adorable details. They had lots of chalk boards and cool signage throughout. They also incorporated wooden pallets which are my absolute favorite thing. I loved that Lauren’s dad was able to be a part of the ceremony and that one of Andrew’s groomsmen was the officiate. The ceremony was short, simple, and so sweet. From the ceremony, everyone was able to go right to the reception through the big wooden barn doors. Just like the ceremony, the reception was filled with cute details and signage throughout. I loved the mason jars and drink station. Rather than having a dinner, Andrew & Lauren had a sweet station and popcorn bar. My second shooter Nicole and I couldn’t help but try the cupcakes.. the red velvet was amazing. In addition to the signage and sweet treats, the barn was filled with stringed lights and a beautiful chandelier which illuminated the barn. For their send off, Andrew & Lauren made sure all of their guests had sparklers and that their getaway antique car was waiting at the end of the rows. It was such a fun way to see the newly married couple escape to their honeymoon. The newlyweds went to Florida and honeymooned at Disney World this past week, I am sure they had a wonderful time and I am so excited for them to be home and see these photos!
