He was the football player and she was the cheerleader. They met when they were just fifteen and sixteen years old. Zach had a crush on the captain of the cheerleading squad and Taylor couldn’t help but have eyes for the football captain. Despite his captain status, Zach was a little bit shy when it came to talking to girls.

Taylor had hoped maybe their flirtatious interactions during world history class would result in something but figured after the entire summer without seeing each other it was a wash. It wasn’t until their local county fair when they saw each other again and Zach worked up the courage to talk to Taylor. After talking for a bit, Taylor convinced Zach to ride the ferris wheel with her and there their love story began.

I’m low key swooning at the thought of Zach and Taylor on the ferris wheel. … thank you to ‘The Notebook’ for forever making ferris wheels one of the most romantic locations imaginable.
