When I think of my “ideal client”, Laine comes to mind. Laine has been nothing but delightful to work with since Nick proposed to her. Her and Nick have been excited throughout the entire process and I knew their engagement session would be a great time. On the day of their session, the wind was insane… like really insane. However, Nick and Laine were super optimistic and just as enthusiastic as they would be in perfect weather conditions. With the addition of wind, we had a fun time laughing about Laine’s dress (and mine!) trying to blow up. We also had to get extra creative and position them based on wind current.
Although it was windy in town that day, Nick and Laine’s engagement location was even more so. The two grew up and attended Mahomet Seymour schools together. They were friends throughout the years but never anything more than that. Later, while they were in college, they both attended a bonfire at their friend Alex’s house. It was there that something more than friendship sparked. Therefore, it was only fitting that they take their engagement photos around the property. It was an adorable set up and very reminiscent of the first night there new relationship began.
Just as I knew I would, I had a wonderful time taking Nick and Laine’s photos and love that we chose to have a rustic country engagement session. I cannot wait to be a part of their day next summer and know it will be nothing but a great time!
