Esplanade Lakes Wedding, Bryan & Mary, Downers Grove IL
As I sat near the altar minutes before their ceremony, I heard the priest lean over to Bryan and ask a question. “How are you?”, he asked. Bryan replied with a smile and said, “I feel like I could throw up at any moment but I’m ready.”
Seconds after this exchange, ceremony music played and the bridal procession began. As I watched each pair walk down the aisle, I observed Bryan’s anticipation grow bigger and bigger. It wasn’t until he saw his brother and Mary’s sister that tears began puddling in his eyes.
He took a deep breath as guests stood up and turned towards the back doors of the church. Finally, it was time. The doors opened and in walked his bride-to-be Mary and her father. Following Bryan’s deep breath came a smile and a slight bounce in his feet. Naturally, every second of anticipation faded away the second that he saw her.
Bryan and Mary, your love is infectious and brings joy to anyone around you. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to photograph it and get to know the two of you. I am so happy for you and know that your wedding day was the first of many best days to come. Love you both!
