Friday Feels
I’m diving head first into busy season and am so excited for all that is to come. This weekend, I’ll be in Peoria, Champaign and Bloomington for a wedding and two engagement sessions. John is in the midst of a new job position so things are pretty crazy for us right now. This past week has been many coffee filled mornings and lazy evenings on the couch after work. Although it’s been crazy, I cherish the evenings where John and I can unwind but, I thrive when busy and can’t wait for this weekend’s adventure.. before I go, enjoy this week’s FridayFeels!
Ladies Weekend.
Ah, can I go back?! Last weekend, three of my best friends came to visit. We had a blast over the two days they were here. I loved showing off the new town and just all being in the same place. We spent an evening in our comfies drinking way too much wine and hanging out. Our second day was spent exploring new spots near us… one including a random dive bar that served free hot dogs…not kidding. For the record, none of us took their offer on the hot dogs…Hah! I wouldn’t have wanted the weekend to go any other way and I’m already wishing they could come visit again.
Connections.
As I was preparing for this weekend, I realized something important. Connections. Without them, my business wouldn’t be nearly where it is. Take this weekend for example, two of my couples found my work through mutual friends. Elizabeth, one of my 2018 brides, just happens to be one of my best friends cousins. My bride on Saturday, Cat, is a horse lover and belonged to the pony club I also participated in when I was younger. Small world, right?! Although websites like The Knot and Google help future brides to find my work, I am so grateful for the random connections that also lead them to me.
Our New Neighborhood.
There are so many doggies in our new neighborhood! Fluff and I take several walks a day and have loved meeting new pups around us. On the corner of our block, there is house with two huskies. Every time they’re outside, one of them follows Fluff around the yard through the fence. When we get to where he can no longer follow, he disappears for a second and then pops up at the top of the trees! I finally snapped a picture of it the other day… hilarious right?!
