Friday Feels
What a rainy Friday!! I am currently getting a late start on today’s Friday Feels. Although I’m getting a late start on the blog post, I definitely didn’t get a late start on the day. I woke up around 4:30am to sounds of our dog Fluff downstairs. I’ve obviously been listening to too many murder mysteries because instantly I thought… intruder. I woke John up and we both quickly went downstairs. To my surprise, there were no intruders.. just Fluff stuck inside of the bathroom frantically pawing at the door trying to get out!
After the relief of finding out our lives weren’t over, John and I headed back to bed but I never fully went back to sleep. Once I was completely up for the day, I headed to Champaign for a busy day of meetings, sessions and appointments. I’m in town for a wedding and know it’s going to be a great one at the Champaign Country Club!
But before the weekend begins… here’s this week’s #FridayFeels.
Labor Day Weekend.
This past Monday was Labor Day. John and I decided to treat ourselves to a date day at D.O.C. Wine Bar. I had been wanting to try it for a while and it seemed like the perfect opportunity. After our wine day, we spent the evening hanging out and celebrating the holiday with friends.
We also continued weekend celebrations on Tuesday because John took the day off. We binged watched Breaking Bad (our first time watching it) and ordered pizza. It was the perfect lazy day relaxing with each other.
The Reset Conference.
As you may know, in addition to running my own photography business I am also a member of The Reset Conference staff. Last year, I was the social media manager and primarily handled the conferences’ Instagram. This year, I’m switching things up in a new role! I adore this conference and can’t express how proud I am of Rebekah Albaugh and Kellie Penn for all of their success.

Lash Lift.
I mentioned earlier that I had a day full of meetings, appointments and a session. One of my appointments was for a lash lift. This was my first time ever getting one and I’m thrilled with the result. Side note, my skin (due to brow wax) and eyes were pretty red in the after photo but I will make sure to post an updated After photo on my Instagram story tomorrow!
For those of you who don’t know, a lash lift helps your lashes look fuller, curvier and darker. It lasts 6-8 weeks, is safe for your eyes and allows you to wear normal makeup. Also, it’s totally safe to go in the pool, spa or hottub.
