Yayyyyyy!! It’s Friday!! And it’s especially exciting for me because I have a weekend off! It’s only fitting that a weekend that I’m not working a wedding.. I’m attending a wedding. And guess what, I am SO excited. I can’t wait to sit during the ceremony, get drinks at cocktail hour and dance at the reception.
As you can tell, I’m looking forward to the weekend… but for now, it’s #FridayFeels time!
Jack Johnson.
So my neighbor & good friend, Lexi, is a huge Jack Johnson fan. When she asked me to go to his concert in Chicago on a Friday night, I almost said that I couldn’t attend. I’m in the middle of wedding season and knew that I had a wedding the next day. However, after giving it some thought, I decided to be adventurous and go to the concert with her!
I am so glad that I did! We spent two hours driving up and back, chatting the entire time. We ate tacos (my favorite) when we got to the city. When we entered the venue, we got to see a surprise intimate performance by Jack Johnson himself on one of the little side stages. It was ahhhhhhmazzzzing and so cool to see him that close up! I went into the concert only knowing a handful of his songs but it’s safe to say I’m a pretty big fan now.
America’s Got Talent.
John and I are officially those people that love their couch, popcorn and shows during the week. We have recently been watching America’s Got Talent and are kind of obsessed. This week, we were both smiling, crying, laughing, rewatching….you get the point. If you have never watched it, you should give it a try. And if you do, make sure to watch Mandy Harvey’s performance.. her story is incredible.
But for real, go watch it … right now! 🙂
Cute little Succulent.
Oh hey there, cute new succulent plant my mom surprised me with. I got to see my parents this week which was SO nice! We went to eat at Nandos Downtown Champaign and had lots of laughs and vino. These past six months have been so different for me. My parents have moved to Columbia, MO and for the first time ever, I’m more than 15 minutes away from them. Luckily, I see them as often as I can via Facetime but it doesn’t compare to getting big hugs and spending the day with them.
