They lived a mile down the road from each other their whole life. They didn’t discover their love for each other until they were in late teens + twenties. Then suddenly, that country road between their homes was their most travelled one.
Mitch & Jourdan a such a down to earth, loving pair. They celebrated their relationship and tied the knot at Hudson Farms. The venue was so fitting for them and anyone who knows them would agree. Rather than see each other prior to the ceremony, Mitch and Jourdan decided to exchange a couple words without revealing their wedding attire. They held hands around the ceremony barn and instantly Mitch looked at ease. He laughed and said, ‘Hey Honey’ as he grabbed her hand. It was such a sweet little moment between these two and made them both even more excited to say I do.
Although there were several moments I will remember from this day, one of my favorites was during their bridal portraits. It was just my second shooter Darija, myself, Mitch and Jourdan. We were congratulating them on being officially husband and wife. I looked at my watch and mentioned that we were in no rush as we had plenty of time before reception entrances began. Mitch responded by grabbing Jourdan and smiling saying he didn’t care if they left now… picked up fast food and let their party take place without them.. he was just so happy to be married.
The happy groom Mitch and his bride decided rather than runaway together they would continue celebrating with their friends and family. They shared a romantic dance to ‘Come into Me’ by Garrett Hedlund (one of my favorites from the movie, Country Strong). Later in the evening, their guests tore up the dance floor to several line dances. I was so impressed by the amount of people that knew sooo many of the dances! It was a perfect evening out at Hudson Farms and as always, I am so grateful to have been able to capture such a great wedding day.
Mitch & Jourdan, I hope you’re having an incredible time in Jamaica… if you decide to take a break from the sun and sand, here are some of my favorites from your special day!
