I always love hearing the stories from my couples especially when the excitement it brings them is obvious. Tyler and Nicole met in a church group three years ago but their love story didn’t start until about a year ago.  Once they began dating, they knew they were meant to be. While backpacking in Indiana together, Tyler proposed.  Nicole says he’s not typically a romantic, cheesy kind of guy so the fact that he proposed at sunset by a lake was so cute.

In addition to his proposal, Tyler also made sure that Nicole’s ring was special. Tyler and Nicole are both scientists and share a love for the solar system and planets.  With that in mind, Tyler designed Nicole’s ring to glow in the dark. Her ring also has sapphires and rubies on each side of the main diamond to represent planets.  Nicole is absolutely in love with it and yet again Tyler impressed her with his romantic details!

Although this couple is currently located in Champaign, they were be moving elsewhere when Tyler finishes up school at the University of Illinois.  Their families are located on the west coast and they are hoping to move to Portland, Oregon.  Due to this, their wedding is taking place in Oregon next summer!  It will be at a beautiful venue and I am so excited to see these two get married in a location they love.  I have photographed in Arizona and California but it will be my first time in Oregon.   I cannot wait to continue developing a friendship with these two and to photograph their wedding on the west coast next summer!
