Mike, Amy and Kennedie met me in Allerton Park for their engagement session.  Kennedie is in the third grade is an absolute spitting image of her mom, Amy.  Mike and Amy wanted to incorporate her into some of their photos and oh my gosh, I just can’t get enough of her.  She was adorable on and off the camera and made sure to help me out in anyway she could.. especially when it came to making Mike and Amy laugh.  I loved her big blue eyes and that huge grin she flashed throughout the session.

As some of you know from reading previous blogs, one of my favorite things to do during an engagement session or a wedding consultation is to find out the stories of a couple.  During our consultation prior to this engagement session, I found out the cute story of Mike and Amy.  Believe it or not, Mike and Amy were boyfriend and girlfriend in the 8th grade.  I think we called it “going out” instead of dating though right?  Their “going out” in only lasted for a couple of months then but once they rekindled their junior high flame, these two knew they were meant for each other.

Mike proposed at home with just Amy and Kennedie there.  They live in Mahomet together but are in the process of closing on a new home currently.  It was fun to hear about how excited they were for this change and really just to see how excited about life together they were.  Mike and Amy were so giddy for each other throughout the entire session and I couldn’t help but admire the way that Mike looked at Amy.
