There’s no better way to know a couples story then to hear it first hand from the groom.  At their reception, Clayton retold the story of seeing Maddy for the first time and his persistence to win her heart.  After asking to buy her a drink three times and being turned down each time, Clayton left determined to change her mind.  Clayton obviously won her over and just couldn’t help but remind everyone on their wedding day that he did it and that she was officially the new, “Mrs. Meyer”.

From start to finish, Maddy and Clayton’s wedding day was exquisite.  During the ceremony, tears rolled down my face as I watched Clayton look towards his soon-to-be wife as she walked down the aisle. Maddy’s cathedral veil fell beautifully behind her as her father prepared to give his daughter away.  The sanctuary was filled with feelings of joy as their loved ones watched Maddy and Clayton say their wedding vows and commit themselves to each other.

Those feelings of joy only continued throughout the day.  The energy from the time we began our day with the bridesmaids to the time we left the reception was indescribable. The best man’s speech had everyone in tears of joy and laughter all at once. Maddy’s father talked about meeting Clayton for the first time and knowing that there was instantly something special there. 

The dance floor matched the happiness felt by all. Maddy’s brother started a dancing circle and from there everyone enjoyed hopping in and taking a turn in the center.  Clayton and Maddy’s wedding reception will most likely be a viral Youtube video due to Maddy’s friends surprising her with an incredible hip hop performance to 24K Magic by Bruno Mars.  Overall, their dance floor was one that we just couldn’t help grinning from ear to ear as we watched. And really, that was our feeling throughout the entire day.

I couldn’t have imagined a better way to start off the 2017 wedding season then with Maddy and Clayton’s wedding. Their wedding was one that completely reaffirms why I love what I do so much and has already made me crazy excited for the weddings to come. Thank you Clayton and Maddy for including me in your special day. I love the two of you and couldn’t be happier for you both as you start your official life as the Meyer’s!
