Pear Tree Estate Wedding, Luke & Christina, Champaign IL
Luke and Christina’s love story is pretty much straight out of a Nicolas Sparks novel. They met at the O’Hare airport while they were each waiting on flights. Christina immediately caught Luke’s eye. He instantly knew he had to talk to her but Christina was unfortunately on the phone with her mom… for what felt like an eternity.
Seated directly across from each other at a restaurant, it seemed like they were destined to meet. When Christina finally got off of the phone, Luke had his chance. They began talking and their chemistry was instant. It felt so natural even though they were complete strangers. When it was time to part ways, Luke asked Christina for her number.
From their introductions at the airport, Luke and Christina started a long distance friendship. With Christina in Chicago and Luke in Seattle, it seemed unrealistic to think anything else would come of their meeting. It wasn’t until two and a half years after that initial airport conversation, their story began. Christina randomly texted Luke and they began talking again.
Their first date wasn’t exactly dinner and a movie, it required a flight across the country. Whether it was that amazing first date weekend or the time Christina introduced Luke to her family, each of them knew that their relationship was a special one. Luke and Christina’s love story is one of my absolute favorites. The leap of faith required to meet each other how they did and then to eventually pursue a long distance relationship together is amazing.
Luke and Christina, you two are are absolutely incredible together. Christina, you and I just instantly clicked when we met each other. Luke, you make Christina smile bigger and brighter than anyone. Thank you both for allowing me to photograph your wedding day.. it was perfect.
