Ryan and Christa’s big day was a much anticipated event. This couple has been dating for 8 years and experienced their college careers and life afterwards together. The couple also just bought a house and Christa is beginning a new job so getting married wasn’t the only thing exciting and crazy going on in their lives! Ryan and Christa’s personalities fit so well together, Ryan being quiet but charming and Christa being bubbly and outgoing. I could just tell the way that Ryan could hardly even watch her walking down the aisle because he was trying not to cry that they were meant for each other. Their wedding day was filled with vibrant purple and gray accents which meshed beautifully together. I loved that the boys wore purple bow ties and vests to really bring their suits and the bridesmaids dresses together. They were a fun bunch and I had a blast with the way they all made each other laugh rather than me having to instruct them to do certain things. In addition to photographing the groomsmen, I also took on a second job of pinning all of their flowers on and making sure to not stab myself or them in the process!
Ryan & Christa’s wedding ceremony was held at Mahomet Christian Church, the church that Christa grew up attending. Their reception took place at the Regent Ballroom in Savoy, IL. The Regent looked beautiful and really did a wonderful job of incorporating their colors. Christa is a french teacher and incorporated her love for France and Paris with her program detail and the cake topper being the Eiffel Tower. I really enjoy seeing how couples make their wedding personal to them. Another unique aspect of their wedding was their first dance. Ryan and Christa performed a dance that they worked on and had choreographed for their special day. It was beautiful and so much fun to see how much their hard work had paid of. I am so happy for Ryan and Christa to be officially married and living in their new home and beginning their life as a couple together.
