Dean and Theresia’s wedding was one for the books! Dean and Theresia are such a laid back couple and made every part of their wedding so much fun. They were full of smiles throughout the day and everyone around them was as well. Dean and Theresia ‘s marriage brought more than just the two of them together. Each of them have two daughters who are ages 10 and 12. The girls were a huge part of their wedding day and Dean and Theresia made sure they knew how special they were to them. The four girls looked beautiful in their matching dresses and I couldn’t get over the yellow flowers in their hair.
The wedding and reception were held at Willow Creek Farm in Urbana, IL. Dean and Theresia were the first couple to get married at this brand new venue and I know that many more will follow them. Their ceremony was held out in the back with a beautiful sunflower decorated terrace that faced the pond. Their ceremony was accompanied by the Bourbon Aristocracy, a bluegrass band from Chicago, IL. In addition to the band, the ceremony also had special guest Steve to help the flower girl and ring bearer walk down the aisle. Steve is a baby lamb that is currently being bottle fed and cared for at Willow Creek. He was the absolute CUTEST thing especially when wearing a little blue bow.
Following their ceremony, guests and the newly married couple headed to the other side of the house where an outdoor cocktail hour was held. The bar was outside in an old barn silo and was incredible. The Bourbon Aristocracy continued playing during cocktail hour and supplied charming background music. At cocktail hour were delicious hors d’oeuvres being offered by V. Picasso (the official catering for Willow Creek Farm). Along with the hors d’oeuvres were sangrias, mimosas and wines. Guests enjoyed chatting with others, taking hay bale rides and the little ones even got to have pony rides on the cute horses at the farm.
The reception was inside the newly renovated barn. The barn is absolutely stunning. It decorated with refurbished antique wood, hand crafted lights, and lots of rustic details. Dean and Theresia entered into the beautiful venue with a room full of cheering guests. They enjoyed family style dinner with sweet corn on the cob and hog roast. Dinner was complimented by a dessert table filled with cake, brownies, cupcakes, etc. by Hopscotch Cakes. Dean and Theresia sang to each other and held each other close to Adele’s Sweetest Devotion for their first dance. Their guests joined in on the dancing and everyone from children to grandparents filled the dance floor. As always, everything ran smoothly with Gwen Wilson of Nuptiae Weddings & Events as their wedding planner. It was an absolutely amazing day and I couldn’t be happier for Dean, Theresia and their four girls.
