There was a defining moment for Andrew and Alyssa’s relationship from her father’s perspective. That moment was when he realized how Alyssa looked at Andrew. He described it as the same look of adoration that children Alyssa teaches give her. That look that says, you’re the best thing in the entire world.

Andrew’s family also recalled the time they knew that Alyssa was ‘the one’. It was Christmas Eve. Andrew was having Alyssa over to meet his family for the first time. In addition to normal Christmas Eve dinner preparations, Andrew had given his family members several other commands. He wanted to make sure that Alyssa had the perfect experience with his family and made sure his family members knew what to say, what not to say, etc. Andrew’s brother referred to Andrew as a professional basketball coach, shouting off plays and prepping his ‘team’ for the championship game.

In his best man speech, Andrew’s brother also used photographs to tell his story. He began with a photograph of Andrew catching his first fish as a little boy. He finished his speech by saying that Alyssa was his best catch. It’s the little analogies that get me every time. And Andrew’s brothers was true, Andrew really did score big when he caught Alyssa’s eye.

Andrew and Alyssa’s wedding day was one for the books. They experienced every form of weather from the beginning to end of their day. But just as Andrew got lucky finding Alyssa, their wedding day had its own little good luck token. After having sunshine then heavy rain, Andrew and Alyssa were greeted by the most beautiful rainbow. I couldn’t think of a better way to tie their day together than with Mother Nature’s good luck charm. I am so grateful to have photographed their wedding day and am beyond excited to share my favorite images!
