Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum Wedding, Mack & Lauren, Auburn IL

We arrived at Lauren’s cousins home in the morning. Mack and his groomsmen were enjoying hanging out, playing games and relaxing before the day began. Before heading off to spend the rest of the morning with the girls, we wanted to snap a couple getting ready photos of Mack. He also had a letter to read from Lauren.

He hadn’t even opened the envelope before his eyes welled up. As Mack read the note from Lauren out loud, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Lauren’s dad stood in the corner with a smile across his face and tears streaming down his face as he listened to the words his baby girl had written to her soon-to-be husband.

When we arrived to Lauren’s parents home, more happy tears occurred. Just as Mack read Lauren’s letter aloud, Lauren read Mack’s. Memories of their first road trips, dates, good times and hard times were sprinkled throughout his note. But what was emphasized more than anything wasn’t their past memories but the memories to come. The life that they were about to embark on together as husband and wife.

Mack and Lauren’s wedding day was the absolute perfect start to their life together. They were surrounded by over 350 of their closest friends and family and joy was felt by all. In honor of KAMS (the University of Illinois campus bar Mack’s family owns) blue guys were served. I’m not sure if it was due to the blue guys or just the genuine happy energy but their dance floor was incredible. The youngest groomsmen, Lauren’s cousin Grant, may have been the star of the show with his dance moves.
