Conor and Alexa’s relationship began over seven years ago as high schoolers. Their relationship started with a friendship and then progressed to dating long distance as college students. After school and many years of long distance dating, they settled on Chicago as their first ‘hometown’ together outside of where they grew up.

When Alexa first contacted me, she emphasized the importance of having their engagement photos down in Chicago, a place they’ve grown to love together. We bounced ideas back and forth and settled on the excitement of popping champagne by the riverwalk as the dusk set in. Our plans were all set to go until Alexa contacted me with a slight wrench in the plans..

The wrench was that Conor had ruptured his Achilles. We considered postponing their session or rearranging our plans but ultimately decided to push through. Conor was seriously the best sport. He put a shoe on his foot for the first time since his injury that day and also went along with every location change, movement, etc. for their session.

I am so happy we stayed with our original plans because I cannot get enough of these photos! Conor and Alexa, you two are the cutest. I am so happy to have met you both and am thrilled to share with you some of my favs from your engagement session!
