While Stephanie describes her and James as more of a fun/goofy couple, James did something that completely surprised her when he popped the question.

James was in charge of planning their next ‘date night’. From what Stephanie knew, they were going to dinner and then were going to bar hop afterwards. However, instead of pulling into the parking garage by the bars, James surprised Stephanie by pulling into a hotel.

James had reserved a room and had even gone above and beyond and packed her belongings for the evening. He had even made a quick trip to Ulta to make sure she would have all of her makeup things without her noticing they had been packed!

When Stephanie walked into the hotel room, James had roses and petals all over the floor. There were more roses and petals on the bed along with a card. As she opened and read the card James got down on one knee. She remembers feeling so overwhelmed and emotional she could hardly see the ring through all of her happy tears!
