They were in England at one of her favorite places in the world, The Hampton Court Palace.  Despite her request of walking through the gardens prior to going to the court, Ryan and Chelsea’s family members insisted they go to her favorite spot first.  When they arrived, Ryan asked Chelsea’s family to take a photograph of them in front of the palace.  Chelsea wasn’t the least bit taken back by this as Ryan loves photography especially when traveling.

After taking a couple of pictures, Ryan pulled out a travel book he had purchased prior to the trip to “learn more about where they were”.  He had Chelsea flip to the Hampton Court page where he had inserted a little piece of paper.  The note said, “Will you…”.  She saw the note but not what it said and began talking about how weird it is that there was something in there and maybe about getting a refund… all while Ryan was getting down on one knee to ask her to marry him. As soon as Chelsea realized what was going on and that Ryan was seriously asking her to marry him, she immediately said yes!

Ryan and Chelsea are a wonderful couple. Having known Ryan in college, I couldn’t have imagined him finding anyone more perfect for him than Chelsea.  We had so much fun taking their engagement photos. I met Ryan and Chelsea in Oak Park for photographs at the beautiful Columbus Park Refractory and then stopped in to their favorite coffee house, Live Cafe.  It was a wonderful day and I couldn’t be more excited to show off some of my favorites!
