Fall Engagement at the University of Illinois Kyle & Shelby Champaign IL

It all started when I met Shelby met Kyle at Kams bar their junior year of college. They knew each other through mutual friends but somehow that night they ended up alone together at the bar. Before Shelby knew it, Kyle was twirling her around and pulled her in to kiss her on the forehead (little did he know that it was her FAVORITE). For those of you who knows Kams, you know it isn’t the most ‘romantic’ setting. But for Kyle and Shelby, there must have been something in the air that night.

From that night at the bar, Kyle and Shelby’s romantic spark continued. Kyle took Shelby on moped rides around campus, they spent afternoons on walks at the Arboretum. While they continued getting to know each other, it wasn’t until their spring semester of senior year that they became an item. Rather than officially asking her, Kyle just started introducing her to others as ‘his girlfriend’ and she just happily went with it.

Kyle and Shelby together just makes sense to anyone who knows them. I knew each of them separately before they met and when they became an item I thought to myself, ‘well duh, they’re perfect for each other’. They are both tons of fun, caring, loyal and seriously two of the best individuals. I was grinning from ear to ear when I received a text from Shelby holding up her hand up with a RING!
