Friday Feels
This week it really felt like I was in full busy season! Between bridal consultations and wedding inquiries, it’s been pretty hectic over here. But I’ll be honest.. I LOVE it! I’ve found that I work best when I’m busy and am usually much more productive when I have to be. Recently, I’ve really enjoyed getting out of the office a couple times a week and working somewhere else. This week’s favorite spot was Harvest Food’s upstairs lounge. In fact, I’m at it right now writing this! So here goes this week’s Friday Feels 🙂
Fluff the Naked Mole Rat.
Maybe I’m bias, but I think #ourpupFluff is still pretty adorable as a naked mole rat ????Unfortunately, when we adopted her, her fur & skin was in rough shape. Rather than try and work through it, our vet suggested we just start from scratch…hence why she now looks a little funny! So until her hair grows back, I suppose her hashtag should probably be #ourpupwithnoFluff instead! Weirdly enough, this week a hairless husky has gone viral and has the EXACT same haircut as our girl. If only I had posted a funny picture of her last week.. she’d be the famous one!
Jane Addams Bookstore.
A local used bookstore in downtown Champaign. On Sunday, John and I spent the day just hanging out at our favorite spots downtown. In all of my years living in Champaign, I had never been in Jane Addams Bookstore. I decided to stop by and was overjoyed with my experience there. SO MANY BOOKS! I ended up purchasing three and a couple of really cute blank cards. Such great prices and an overall really neat place.
Lake Geneva.
SEE YOU IN A WEEK! John and I are pretty much counting down the days until we get to go to one of our favorite places. Lake Geneva. It’s been three summers since I’ve made it up there and this time we get to go for four days! I can’t wait to lay on the dock, play card games, and just spend time with my favorite human.
That’s all for now… I’m off to a wedding later today at Pear Tree Estate. It is absolutely beautiful outside and I can’t wait to spend the day with Cody & Laura!
