Friday Feels

Hey friends-

This week flew by for me! I’ll be honest, I’m writing this blog post on a Thursday rather than Friday because I’ve got a big weekend ahead of me.  I typically write blog posts on my desktop iMac in my office with piano music playing in the background and no one else around me.  However, today my view is quite a bit different.  Tomorrow’s wedding is in Naperville so I’m at John’s parents house for the day to be ready for tomorrow.  Rather than sitting inside, I’m enjoying this nice day and writing outside on their patio with their beautiful yard around me. So, without further ado.. here goes my Friday Feels for the week.

University of Illinois.

U of I is a place that is near and dear to my heart.  As an alumni, I have many things to thank this University for.  My boyfriend John and I met in college (click here to read the story of how we met). U of I also introduced me to some of my absolute best friends. When I think back to college, I am so thankful for the opportunity to have attended the U of I. So when I photograph graduating senior girls together each year, I always feel a little bit of nostalgia. Anyone who attended U of I or really any other amazing college knows what I’m talking about right?!

Double Header.

Wedding season begins for me this weekend and what other way to do it then starting big with two in one weekend! While it sounds super intimidating, I am actually super excited for the challenge! I adore weddings and know that the love for them will keep me from feeling anything but excitement and joy. Well…that is until Sunday where I probably will be lounging watching movies all day and recovering from the craziness of the weekend.

South Africa.

Friday Feels 2, Ebby L Photography

It was just over two years ago that I was in South Africa with my friend, Kate and my parents.  The reason it’s on my mind currently is that my sister and mom are currently there.  My mom has found her passion in life with the Simunye village there.  She is a huge part of the SA Project Simunye and travels to South Africa as many times a year as she can to help their community. Although I haven’t made it to the village yet, I know that someday I will go and gain the same life changing experience that the have. I’m sending love and prayers to them while they are there and know that the impact they are making for the Simunye people is indescribable.

That’s all for now. I can’t wait to share with you my experience with this weekend’s double header weddings! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and cross your fingers for the chance of rain to go away 🙂
