Hey friends… I hope you’re having an amazing Friday… it is SO nice outside! I am in the office editing but have taken Fluff on multiple walks just to get out and enjoy the day! This will be my eighth Friday since I began writing #FridayFeels and I’m curious, do you enjoy it? Are there different aspects of my life or business you’d rather read about? If so, let me know! I’d love suggestions.
Tuesdays Together at Pear Tree Estate.
The Rising Tide Society is such a wonderful addition to the creative industry. One Tuesday a month, creatives all across the country get together and have what are called “Tuesdays Together”. Rather than thinking of one another as opponents, we take the approach of Community Over Competition.
This past Tuesday, our Champaign group as well as members from the Bloomington and Peoria groups met at the ever wonderful Pear Tree Estate. During this busy season, it was wonderful to celebrate what we do with each other and have a fancy dinner all together. As always, the food, drinks and company were absolutely wonderful at Pear Tree Estate.
Fluff’s New Bandana.
This pretty girl got a new bandana… or should I say 10 new bandanas. I found a great deal on Amazon for what I think are women’s neck scarves in a pack of 10. Fluff is feeling extra sassy with her new look and I think it’s safe to say she’s getting cuter by the day! Also, if you look closely you can see that her fur is starting to grow back a little bit.
The Nintendo Switch.
Many of you probably don’t know this, but John and I LOVE games. I’m sure I’ve talked about how we enjoy playing cards or board games but a little secret is that we also love video games. It’s kind of embarrassing but I’m too excited not to share with you! Thursday of this week, I saw a friend posted a picture of his roommate with a new Nintendo Switch. Maybe you aren’t aware of this but this new game console has been extremely hard to find as it’s been selling out like crazy!
As soon as I saw his post online, I instantly messaged him asking where he got it. When he said Target and that there were only two left… I got in my car and headed that way! (Again, I’m so embarrassed admitting this!). I was lucky enough to get there in time and pick up a Nintendo Switch as well as Mario Kart Deluxe 8 and Zelda.
I kept it a secret that I had found a Switch for the hour before he got home from work. When he arrived home I asked him to go look at one of my blog posts. Now, a little back story… John loves to change out of his work clothes and just relax when he gets off so he wasn’t exactly thrilled to head straight to my office. Here’s a short video of him finding the Switch. I think it’s safe to say he was excited!!! (Also, we are in the process of packing so excuse the mess around him!).
