James and Wendy were married on March 21st in Champaign, IL. They are both Illinois vet students and had an animal theme spread out through little details all over their special day.  They had a perfect Saturday in March for their wedding with no rain and a relatively warm temperature.. especially compared to the weeks prior.  We began their pictures separately in downtown Champaign near the Hyatt Hotel before heading to St. Mary’s Church via trolley ride.  It was my first time attending a wedding at St. Mary’s but I loved the atmosphere and how “cozy” the church felt.  After they were officially Mr. & Mrs. Karnia we went to the University of Illinois Quad for photos of them and their bridal party.  I think one of my favorite parts of the day was how many children were included. It was crazy trying to get all of them in the photos but absolutely adorable to see them all dressed up in their dresses and suits 🙂  Their reception was held at the Orpheum Museum in downtown Champaign and along with the church it was a first for me! It was GORGEOUS! The uplighting that Ryan Reid (Crash Events) provided made the room glow so wonderfully. Their first dance was to Thinking out Loud by Ed Sheeran. I am not sure if anyone is familiar with the music video but their dance in the Orpheum with the beautiful ceilings really resembled it. I couldn’t help but smile through the entire thing!!! The combination of puppy paw prints on the cake and her garter, lots of little girls in adorable dresses, and Ed Sheeran for their first dance made for a wonderful day.  Congratulations James & Wendy and thank you again for letting me be a part of your wedding day.
