When we looked at the weather forecast for the date we had scheduled, we realized we would be dealing with rain.  Rather than reschedule, Kurt and Amy were anxious to get their photos taken and wanted to embrace the weather.  With that being said, we had to think outside of my typical locations and get creative.

To begin our session, we stopped by one of my favorite event venues, Willow Creek Farm.  Traci, the owner, is a wonderful lady and invited us to take any photos in the barn we’d like.  The glow of the lights paired with the rustic wood made for such a great session location.  To switch it up a bit, we explored downtown Champaign.  Big Grove Tavern is one of John and I’s favorite brunch location not only for the food/drinks but also the atmosphere. I instantly knew it would be an adorable location to get a cocktail and celebrate Kurt and Amy while taking some photos.  The bartender was super accomodating and even gave them free champagne as a congratulations.

Much to our surprise, after spending time in Big Grove we looked out and realized the rain had stopped.  What started as a blustery monsoon turned into a not so bad cloudy day. We finished our session outside in some of my favorite spots downtown.

I appreciated Kurt and Amy so much during our session. They were so accomodating and just went with the flow and all of my ideas.  They were so easy going throughout and even stepped outside for some photos in the rain!
