I asked Morgan how her and Nick met. She’s always been one with words so rather than paraphrasing.. I thought I’d share what she shared with me.

“We met in the ‘traditional’ way of swiping right on each other lol. We exchanged a few messages back and forth that mostly included some banter about running before Nick quickly asked me on a date. Our first date was for coffee at Aroma Cafe in downtown Champaign. I remember texting my friends before entering that if they didn’t hear from me in two hours, they could assume I was kidnapped. Needless to say, 2 1/2 hours later when I checked my phone – I had many messages.

Conversation came easy and we talked a lot about teaching and running. I knew right away that Nick was someone I’d never want to stop talking to. We did make a bet after our first two dates that we had to talk about something other than teaching since it was summer…I lost that bet and had to buy Nick a beer. Side note – on that first date, I told Nick I would never run with him because I would be too embarrassed at how slow I was. Fast forward two years and we’ve done multiple 20 mile runs together.”

Nick and Morgan’s engagement session is one of my absolute favorites and I already can’t wait to photograph their wedding day!
