Glenn T. and Mackenzie had known of one another for years growing up in the Saddlebred horse industry. Mackenzie knew Glenn T. lived in her apartment complex for more than a year yet she had never revealed that to him. It wasn’t until they were both standing on the rail at the World Championship Horse in Louisville, Kentucky, that she mustered the courage to approach him. She told him they lived in the same complex and suggested they be friends.
A couple of weeks after their conversation, Glenn T. and Mackenzie decided to meet one another in Lexington for a casual drink. Their casual get togethers progressed into a couple dinner dates and they eventually started talking more and more regularly. New Years came around and neither had plans for the evening. Glenn got a little group together for the evening festivities. Their first kiss was at midnight on New Years Eve of 2017 and at that moment, their love story began.
For their engagement session, we met in their beloved Lexington where they now live. I love that they consider Lexington such a significant place considering that is where this love story of theirs began.
We chose Thoroughbred Park for their session which is right across from the church where they will be married. We, of course, incorporated horses since they are both intense horse lovers. I’ll be back in Lexington for their wedding in November and am sure we’ll find a way to tie horses into their wedding photos as well!!!
