Arrowhead Golf Club Wedding, Todd & April, Littleton CO

There’s a point at every single wedding where my eyes bubble up with happy tears because of a speech, moment or just the genuine happiness of the day. Butttt… with that being said, Todd and April’s wedding got me more than most. It was right after his best man gave a speech, Todd stood up to say a few words. With April by his side, he talked about what a romantic he’s been since his teenage years. Todd talked about how he thought he’d be the guy who got married at 17 and what a softy he’s been from day one. Todd then went on to discuss this ‘person’ he had envisioned in his mind. The girl who had this, this, this and this. The girl who met everything on his checklist.

Insert April. When Todd met April, suddenly his checklist ‘person’ wasn’t there anymore. Todd’s checklist ‘person’ no longer existed because April blew any and all of his expectations out of the water. April, his actual person made all of his original partner goals seem so small because she was so much better than all of them.

As Todd expressed that to all of his closest family and friends.. there I was, a couple feet in front of him hiding the tears behind my camera. And when I say tears, I mean heavy crocodile tears pouring down my face… UGLY CRYING.

While I could go on and on about how perfect and sweet Todd’s words about April were, the way he looks at her in these photos says it all.

Todd and April, I am so happy you found each other. Thank you for bringing me along to Colorado to capture your absolutely perfect wedding day. I have so many favorite moments from your day. Aside from Todd’s speech, I think it’s a tie between your niece Willow crying at the sight of her beloved Uncle Todd kissing April and the boy band breakout to ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ later on in the reception.
