Jordan and Jackie met at a bar in Downtown Champaign. She was with a couple of girlfriends and he was sitting at the bar. They started talking to each other and the rest was history. He proposed the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Both Jordan and Jackie love Christmas and knew that as soon as Thanksgiving was over, it was time to bring out the Christmas festivities. That Sunday afternoon, they decided to watch the first Christmas movie of the season.. one of her favorites, It’s a Wonderful Life. Jackie remembers Jordan looking at her a couple of times during the movie and wasn’t sure why. He gained the courage to ask her after the third or fourth time of looking towards her.
For Jordan and Jackie’s engagement session, we decided to adventure to their favorite spots in Downtown Champaign. We had to go back to where it all began and take photographs at The Brass Rail where they met. We also went to some other places they frequent like The Blind Pig Brewery and the record store, Exile on Main Street. Part of the reason I love engagement sessions is being able to show off a couples personality. I was so happy when Jordan and Jackie wanted to adventure around Champaign as this seemed so true to who they are!
My favorite thing about Jordan and Jackie is their laughter. When Jackie is with Jordan, her smile is seriously the brightest, most beautiful thing around. They giggle and talk and its clear to anyone around them how absolutely smitten they are about each other. I love these two together and already can’t wait for their wedding next September!
