From the moment I met Andrew and Julie together at their consultation, I knew I loved them. They bring an element of joy into every part of life especially when around each other. They laugh, goof around and love each other intensely. Andrew & Julie began dating as young high school lovers but have grown as a couple so much since then.  They attended Illinois State University together and now live their day to day life together in Schaumburg, IL. For their photos, we had their engagement session at Veteran Acres Park in Crystal Lake, IL.

I have to say, Andrew and Julie are two of the most kind, positive and selfless people I have ever met.  When I arrived at their engagement session, I was late due to construction and traffic. Rather than reacting to me being late, they asked me how I was and thanked me for traveling to them.  They continued to ask me about everything in my life and were filled with genuine excitement to take their photos. At one point, Julie even stopped and said to Andrew and I, “can you believe it… we’re doing this!”

Prior to meeting this couple, I knew of them through my high school best friend Kate.  Kate and Julie were roommates in college and still remain close friends.  After their engagement session, I sent a sneak peek photo to my friend Kate who instantly replied with, “they just make me so happy”.  Andrew and Julie’s relationship is one that inspires others. They make the people around them smile just because of who they are. Their love for each other is obvious in the way that they laugh and can’t help but be near each other.

As I drove home last night from their session, I thought about their relationship long after I had left Veteran Acres Park. I thought about the way they care for each other and how beautiful their relationship truly is. I cannot wait to work with them again and capture the moments of their special day next August.
