She walked slowly out of the chapel in the park, anxious to see her groom.  He turned around and a smile filled his face.  She asked if he liked it and beamed back at him. His response was, “of course and I knew you’d look pretty…you always do!” Rachel was the most stunning bride I have ever seen. Her makeup, dress, hair, bridal details… absolutely beautiful.  She and her groom, Jordan, paired with her perfectly.  He wore a navy suit and maroon accents.  His watch was a gift from Rachel that morning that had a sweet note saying, “see you at noon <3 Rachel”.

Jordan and Rachel were married in Funks Grove park outside of Bloomington, IL.  Their ceremony outside, surrounded by tall forest trees and the sounds of nature. Their guests sat on gigantic benches made from tree trunks. Rachel and her father walked through an antique white doors.  Rather than a sand ceremony or tying of a rope, Jordan and Rachel watered an acorn seed. Like their marriage, the seed will grow and continue to grow overtime.  They will need to put time and work into their relationship just like a plant needs to be maintained in order to flourish. I loved this analogy and thought about how one day they will point out the tree to their children.

Much like the story of the acorn tree, they will be able to tell the story of their beautiful wedding day.  Jordan will exclaim how beautiful Rachel looked.  Rachel will reminisce on how many friends and family traveled to be a part of their day. Together, they will talk about their first dance and how Jordan twirled Rachel around the dance floor.  Jordan and Rachel will remember how the rain held off and what a perfect fall day it was.  And out of all of these things,  they will talk about their love for each other.
