This is Jake and Lia. Jake is my best friend Taylor’s older brother. When Taylor found out they were expecting, she instantly asked if she and her family could gift Jake and Lia a maternity session.

While I’ve ‘known’ Jake and Lia from afar, I met them for the first time at their session. Jake and Lia are everything I thought they would be and more. They are both so sweet, I really enjoyed getting to document this exciting stage in their lives. Not to mention, their beloved ‘first child’ Dani the doodle.

To begin their maternity session, we started at their home in Lakeview. From there, we ventured over to Lincoln Park for photos. The Botanical Gardens made for the perfect setting in Jake and Lia’s dressier outfits. To finish up, Jake and Lia changed into more casual clothes for some fun photos by the lakefront. Overall, I love their maternity photos. I cannot wait to photograph these two again once they are officially parents!
