Friday Feels ft. The Reset Conference

As some of you may have seen through my Instagram stories, last week I was in Waco, TX for The Reset Conference. This conference is something very close to me. As an aspiring full-time photographer in college, I attended the mini workshop that sparked what is now The Reset Conference. I remember taking pages and pages of notes and setting my heart of fire with aspirations, dreams and goals for my business. The day after the workshop, I couldn’t sleep past 4:30am because I just couldn’t wait to start implementing all that I had learned.

Flash forward to now, I am a staff member for The Reset Conference and we just completed our 8th Reset! And while I am now in my 7th year full-time (11th year of weddings!) there is still that ‘set my heart on fire’ feeling from something every year at Reset. I am so grateful to be on staff and help other photographers while also gaining so much myself.

WHAT IS RESET?

Soooo for those of you who aren’t aware, The Reset Conference is an educational (and inspiring!) conference for photographers. Rebekah and Kellie, the founders and leaders, are both from Champaign, IL. They began the conference there but since then have hosted conferences in Indianapolis, Lexington, Louisville and Waco. There are photographers from all parts of the US that come together to learn, grow and connect over photographer.

As a staff member, I am in charge of planning and organizing styled shoots and mentorships. We host styled shoots to allow attendees to learn from photographers they look up while also gaining images for their own portfolios. I really enjoy working with photographers leading up to the conference and then helping them execute their dreamy styled shoot dreams!! The-Reset-Conference-Ebby-L-Photography-Photos

“CHIP GAINES WAS HERE!”

While in Waco, we stayed in an actual Fixer Upper House. We watched the episode our house was on the night before checking in. We had a great time exploring the home and an even better time daydreaming of how great it would be to live in a house so cute. And of course, we explored The Silos and all things Magnolia while in Waco as well!

Boots n Bling.

Each year at The Reset Conference, we have a themed gala event. This year our theme was BOOTS N BLING (because, we were in Texas.. duh). It was so much fun to see everyone dress up for the theme and I loved the variety in everyones outfits. To be honest, I had my eye on the white boots I wore for a while and used the gala as an excuse to buy them!

Overall, The Reset Conference this year was incredible as always. I am always so proud of Kellie & Rebekah for their hard work on Reset each year. I am thrilled to be heading back to Lexington in March for Reset 2022!
