Joyous Orchard Ridge Farms Wedding, Matt & Bridget, Rockton IL

When I look back on this day, the first thing that comes to mind is the word Joy. I can’t think of another couple who was more excited to get married than Matt and Bridget. Just like the excitement between Matt and Bridget, their bridal party of 21 was beaming with happiness. The guys chanted at Matt every time he was up to do something and the girls ooo’d and awww’d at how beautiful Bridget was.

Rather than wait until their ceremony, Matt and Bridget began their wedding day with an intimate first look. It was one of those that gave me goosebumps up and down my arms. Bridget walked up to Matt and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around and instantly cupped her face with his hands and exclaimed how perfect she looked. Bridget’s face lit up and any nerves that she may have felt prior to seeing him vanished. Today was their wedding day!

This joyous wedding was held at Orchard Ridge Farms Pavilion. As you’ll see in photos, it is an incredible venue. One of my favorite parts of the venue was it’s location and it’s rustic vibe. Maybe it’s just a touch of my childhood, but I couldn’t help but love that there was kitties running around outside. One cat in particular (which you’ll see) really wanted to be involved in Matt and Bridget’s wedding day. I am STILL laughing at the photos of Matt and Bridget’s brother Phil attempting to have the kitty in their photo!

I could go on and on about the perfect details of this wedding but the photos speak for themselves. What I would like to emphasize is what an honor it was to photograph Matt and Bridget’s love for each other. The giddiness and joy that these two had from the start of their day to the time we finished was why I love my job. Rather than feeling like we were posing their photos together, it felt like we were just peeking into their relationship. The chemistry and connection these two have is one that anyone can see. Matt and Bridget, thank you for letting me be a part of your day. I am so happy for you both!
