Friday Feels, May 28, Ebby L Photography
Hi, it’s me!!! Happy Friday.
I’m excited to pop in and say hello. It’s been a whirlwind of week these last couple of weeks but in between sessions, weddings & editing I’ve managed to have some fun as well.
The roommates and I got to experience our first Cubs game as Lakeview residents! Unfortunately, I moved to the city right as the world shut down last year. While I’ve still loved living in Lakeview throughout, we haven’t gotten to experience Wrigleyville in it’s prime. .. that is until lately! It was so much fun walking just a couple minutes down the road to all of our favorite Wrigley bars then to Wrigley field for the game. And yes, we had plenty of stadium beers paired with Chicago dogs and pretzels to top of the experience.
This past weekend, I photographed two University of Illinois alumni tie the knot. As you see in the photo above, they weren’t alone in their alliance to the Illini. I hopped in the Illinois group photo and had a moment of gratitude for the University. I have so many connections, clients and experiences solely because of my time at U of I. One of these days I will have to add up how many U of I brides/grooms I have..!
Since moving to the city, lakefront walks have been a staple for me. When I first moved to the city, I would take my sister to work bright and early at 6:30am and then come back home to begin my day walking by the water.
More recently, my walks take place later on in the afternoon as a way to decompress after working/editing. But this past weekend, I took a Sunday afternoon walk with my friends (and our pups!) to the lake. It felt like summer and made me so excited for days of picnics, swimsuits and white claws by the water! Chicago summer is HERE.
